Scotland called up Sandy Maciver from Manchester City for his Nations League double against the Netherlands, even though the goalkeeper played for England.
The 25-year-old, who is eligible to play for Scotland through her mother, has represented England at under-17 level in the Lionnes senior team.
However, she played for Sarina Wigman’s team only once in a friendly match against Northern Ireland in 2021 and has now switched sides to Scotland.
Head coach Pedro Martinez Losa also handed the first call-up to Jenny Smith from Celtic, while her teammates Amy Gallagher and Kirsty Howat from Rangers retain their places after their recent debuts.
Chelsea’s Erin Cuthbert also returned after not-found the matches against England and Belgium due to issue, however Caroline Weir and Emma Watson withdrew due to anterior cruciate ligament issue sustained in the last match.
What does the band look like?
Scotland will face the Netherlands on October 27 before the second leg in Group A at Hampden Park on October 31.
However, Martinez LOSa’s team is in last place in their group after two matches, only three points behind the leader of Belgium, who plays England.
Scotland narrowly lost to England in the first leg of the Nations League, and then saved a point at home against Belgium thanks to Sophie Howard’s goal in the very last match of the match.
